Zani met Rover at the very beginning of Version 2.0, and had been unenthusiastically following the protagonist around, unhappy at the prospect of more work. A serious and reliable Montelli employee, she follows a strict routine and manages tasks with ease. For years, she has clocked in on time without fail, finding as much enjoyment in her well-ordered life as in her carefully planned moments of leisure.
She wielded her giant weapon, gathering her strength in preparation for a strike. Energy surged, converging into a torrent that coursed over her old scars and hair, leaving a faint, burning sensation in its wake.
“Work will keep coming. Don’t forget to live a little.”
Meanwhile, Ciaccona couldn’t be more different from Zani if she actively tried. As the bard of Rinascita and a part of Version 2.2, she is a free-spirited, romantic, sincere, and passionate soul. On her journey, she sang radiant poems of saints and heroes, weaving tales of people, miracles, turmoil, and suffering—along with the sorrow of death and farewell.
Ciaccona quietly seeks, perceives, and listens to the vibrant melodies woven into all things. With her heart as her guide, she paints these melodies into poetry, weaves them into stories, and breathes new life into them, granting each a newfound meaning.
“Off we go! May my poems light the way on your path ahead!”
