The biggest question for Club América fans is if their summer signing Allan Saint-Maximin will make his Liga MX debut. The French winger joined the club last week, but he didn’t play in América’s last league game against Tigres.
Saint-Maximin trained with the team but did not travel for América’s 3-1 win over Tigres. That will not be the case for the match against Atlas, according to Gibran Araige from TUDN.
The report suggests that Saint-Maximin will make his official Liga MX debut against Atlas and may start on the bench. He trained with the rest of the team, and Club América manager André Jardine has wanted to give him minutes.
The French winger has impressed the coaching staff and teammates during training sessions. His arrival at the club has excited América fans and Liga MX fans due to his pace and skills.
Henry Martin is Out for Atlas Game
A player who will not play in América vs Atlas tonight is Henry Martin, who remains injured after missing the previous game last weekend as well.
Gibran Araige also reports that Martin did not travel with the team to Guadalajara for the match against Atlas. The Mexican striker reportedly suffered a knock last minute, and he decided not to risk a severe injury.
Henry Martin’s last game was against Querétaro on August 9 in Round 4 of the 2025 Apertura.
