Ubisoft has announced that pirates and swindlers can hit the hyperlanes and spend the morning commute in Star Wars Outlaws, this uyear. Alongside a wealth of upcoming adventures, the recently released adventure on the fringes of the Star Wars universe will land on the new Nintendo Switch 2 console, alter this year. While we don’t have a definite launch date, the sci-fi RPG is coming to its latest platform sometime in 2025.
Star Wars Outlaws, is an open-world action RPG set in the Star Wars universe. The narrative follows Kay Vess, a scoundrel on a quest for freedom, but the story’s potential is undermined by its execution. Set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, it attempts to capture the chaotic allure of the galaxy’s criminal underworld and follows an enigmatic rogue on a mission to secure her freedom. As you’d expect this involves plenty of shooting, swindling,m and droid along the way. While the recent Jedi focused titles have been warmly welcomed, this struggled on other platforms, due to technical issues that detract from its ambitious scope. Released on August 30, 2024, with early access from August 27 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, it garnered mixed reviews, but Ubisoft is hoping for a better outing on Switch 2.
Star Wars Outlaws is already available on Ubisoft+ Premium, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Amazon Luna, and PC via Ubisoft Connect, the Epic Games Store, and Steam. For more on Star Wars Outlaws, visit starwarsoutlaws.com and keep it Gamesapce for more on the Nintendo Switch 2.
