MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A “potential safety concern” was reported at K-State’s campus in Manhattan on Monday, Aug. 25.
K-State officials tell 13 NEWS that on Monday afternoon, the university was a target of a swatting attack that was intended to disrupt the Manhattan campus.
According to a social media post from the Kansas State University Police Dept., the safety concern was alerted at the Hale Library at 4:30 p.m. Police gave the all clear at 4:38 p.m.
13 NEWS has reached out to K-State Police as to why the safety concern was alerted.
