Remnants of Yore – Cozy Adventure Game Arrives on Kickstarter

Team Yore is ready to present Remnants of Yore, a cozy roguelite adventure about spirits, spellcraft and second chances. You play as Yore, a young cat wizard that inherits a crumbling antique shop in a forgotten town. But your inheritance holds more than dusty shelves…

The developers mention being inspired by Stardew Valley, Hades and Moonlighter, promising that Remnants of Yore will be a heartfelt story of rebuilding and rebirth, set in a charming fantasy world. Restore the shop, rebuild the town, craft spells from herbs, and help spirits find peace… or not. Your choices shape the world, and the fate of those within it. The team also teases townsfolk being eligible for romances, including multiple partner relationships.

The game features a unique visual style: using Unreal Engine 5.5, it employs the cozy 2.5D pixelated orthographic visuals that are created by post-processing a fully 3D environment that then appears with a rich 2D pixel art visual.

Combat takes a similarly new approach, designed as the simplest input possible, paired with a highly responsive visual and audio feedback for every move and moment.
