The Overwatch 2 team, including lead gameplay designer Alec Dawson, senior producer Kenny Hudson, and associate hero designer Scott Kennedy, participated in a Reddit AMA for the competitive Overwatch sub-Reddit. To keep players up to speed, the developers have shared a recap on the official site.

Overall, the team got asked over 600 questions and comments, and focused on answering some of the biggest ones. The Overwatch 2 AMA goes over perks, buffs and nerfs, balancing, skill expression, and more. The developers also hinted that Ramattra’s dance animation is coming soon – so keep your eyes peeled!

“It’s been pretty exciting watching all of you trying out the different Perks we’ve introduced to the game. We’ve seen some pretty amazing plays ranging from mounting Torbjorn’s turret to ceilings on Circuit Royal to bouncing Ana’s Biotic Grenade onto unsuspecting opponents in an opening team fight to, my favorite, bunny hopping around a map as Zarya! We can’t wait to see what incredible plays you’ll make next.”

A particularly interesting question came regarding the future of Clash. The developers agree that Clash is awesome when it all comes together. Currently, the team is experimenting with building another Clash map from the ground up with a different approach to the layout to see if that solves some of the core issues the mode has. It’s all very early, but hopefully some significant geo changes along with scoring changes can get Clash into a great spot.
