Monster Hunter Wilds Got a New Patch But It’s Not About Optimization

Developer Capcom took to the official X (previously Twitter) account to share that Monster Hunter Wilds is in for a new patch. Landing on all platforms on March 4 at 12 am PST, it fixes issues with the Ingredient Center, Grill a Meal and story progression in Chapter 5-2 “A World Turned Upside Down”.

If your story progression had been hindered by the important NPC not spawning, this patch will fix the issue. However, a lot of people in the post’s thread are unhappy that the developers are ignoring a massive problem: the game’s PC optimization. In Monster Hunter Wilds, you protect the balance of the ecosystem and hunt monsters in a world with dynamic, ever-changing environments. Use the resources you gain from hunts to craft ever more powerful weapons and armor in your quest to unravel the mysteries of the new lands. The game builds on its famous involved action and immersion and pushes players to use every resource at their disposal to track and hunt monsters. There are 14 weapon types to choose from in addition to the new Focus Mode feature.
