Prior to the arrival of Genshin Impact Version 5.5, developer HoYoverse is sharing a closer look at the abilities of two new characters. The previous video was dedicated to Varesa (5-star Electro Catalyst). But the latest one focuses on her famous coach, Iansan (4-star Electro Polearm).

“Many fitness enthusiasts adore nothing more than to compete with each other, yet when it comes to Iansan, they offer her nothing but unanimous respect and reverence. “Defeat against Iansan doesn’t count as a loss…” they always say, in an effort to comfort themselves.”

Known as Varesa’s coach and one of the six heroes of Natlan, Iansan is a 4-star Electro Polearm wielder. She provides powerful support to the party by enhancing the on-field character’s ATK while also healing her allies. Her Elemental Burst increases the on-field character’s ATK even when she is off-field, and her ATK buff scales with the distance that her teammates move. Additionally, when her teammates trigger a Nightsoul Burst, Iansan obtains the Warming Up effect, allowing her to continuously restore HP to the on-field character for a short duration.

Genshin Impact – Version 5.5 Events & Additions Include:

  • Tournament of Glory in Bloom flagship event. Recently, everything has been peaceful and quiet. Upon returning to the Children of Echoes, you and Paimon discover a crowd gathering around an extraordinary young Tepetlisaurus… Take part in the event and participate in mini-games to obtain a free copy of Ororon (4-star Electro Archer).
  • Quirky Quaking Arena. Countless experiences have proven that one’s own skills are the most reliable adventuring “tool”. Honing various unique abilities in confrontations will undoubtedly benefit future exploits…
  • Unlimited Fighting Championship. No niceties, no holds barred, and no lofty pretenses of glory in battle. This is a raw, all-out, honest brawl. Has the clean-cut sterility of traditional bouts left you falling asleep from boredom? Fear not, there’s a new tournament shaping up in Natlan’s underground fighting ring.
  • Rhythm Ball Meztli. One day, you and Paimon receive an enthusiastic invitation from Mualani to attend a new “music party” at the People of the Springs.
  • Overflowing Favor double artifact drop event.
  • Two new characters: Varesa (5-star Electro Catalyst) a plunge DPS; Iansan (4-star Electro Polearm) who provides buffs and heals. Both can dash and perform flying leaps during exploration.
  • New weapon: Vivid Notions (5-star Catalyst, Varesa’s signature)
  • Two new artifact sets: Long Night’s Oath & Finale of the Deep Galleries.
  • New Map: The Great Volcano of Tollan stands with a sacred city and a multi-layered map within the volcano’s depths.
  • New Tribe & Saurian: The Collective of Plenty is the final tribe, and it arrives with a new Saurian, the Tatankasaurus, which can charge and smash through gargantuan rocks.
  • New Optimizations: Improvements will be added to the boss tracking system and the artifact leveling experience.
