Brie Larson’s buzzed haircut grew out into a golden blond pixie ‘do, which she showed off at the “Battlefield 6” video game reveal celebration on Thursday in Los Angeles.
Larson’s new hairdo takes a fresh spin on the buzzed look she rocked in January. The style is also a deviation from the popular bob hairstyle that saw a major resurgence in 2025, thanks to “The White Lotus” star Leslie Bibb, echoing shades of the Roaring 1920s, Pamela Anderson, Selena Gomez and others.

Larson, however, isn’t the only star to embrace the pixie cut hairstyle. Emma Stone debuted her pixie cut at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards in January. The actress, who normally sports longer chestnut red hair, likely cut her tresses for her role in frequent collaborator Yorgos Lanthimos’s forthcoming film “Bugonia.” Partially inspired by Mia Farrow’s iconic cut in the horror classic “Rosemary’s Baby,” Stone’s pixie cut, much like Larson’s, serves to frame the face in dramatic fashion.
Larson’s hairdo was the centerpiece of her glam at the “Battlefield 6” event, with her makeup featuring natural, refined beauty elements. The actress collaborated with hair stylist Bryce Scarlett in the past for her hair styling.
The actress wore a suit-inspired look with a sleeveless burgundy blazer with a single side button at the waist and mini sharp lapels and matching shorts, an ideal look for the sultry summertime season. She continued to keep her ensemble streamlined, with minimal jewelry pieces and a pair of black, pointed-toe heels.
In January 2025, Larson portrayed the title role in the West End production of the play “Elektra,” directed by Daniel Fish. For the role, Larson completely buzzed her hair, giving a rebellious bent to the role. The play closed in April 2025.
