MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Pro wrestling legend Jerry Lawler told FOX13 that he was grateful for all the support he received after he suffered a “minor” stroke at his Florida condo.

In an interview with FOX13’s Valerie Calhoun, Lawler said he had not been taking his medication in the days before the stroke two weeks ago. He added that he had trouble with his vision, not even recognizing his own house when he got home.

Otherwise, Lawler said he felt “pretty good.”

“I remember lying in the bed in the hospital and when people that I knew, like family members, came in and I didn’t even recognize them,” Lawler told FOX13. “People kept coming out of nowhere to thank me and to pray for me. All of that means such a great, great deal to me and I want to thank them for all that.”

This was the 75-year-old’s third stroke. Now, the wrestling legend known as “The King” is going to concentrate on recovery and, as he pointed out, taking “my medicine.”
