Cincinnati Bengals receiver Tee Higgins reached 5,000 career receiving yards in his 79th NFL game, during the second quarter of the team’s NFL Week 9 game against the Chicago Bears at Paycor Stadium.

Higgins surpassed the milestone on a 44-yard receiving touchdown from quarterback Joe Flacco.

“Higgins just crazy catch for the Cincinnati touchdown!” CBS play-by-play announcer Spero Dedes said during the broadcast.

Higgins entered Week 9 with 355 career catches for 4,955 yards, needing 45 yards to reach 5,000.

Higgins is the 11th Bengals receiver with 5,000 career yards. Teammate Ja’Marr Chase passed the 5,000-yard mark during the Bengals ‘ 2024 win in Dallas.

From the Bengals via Twitter/X:

Higgins, Cincinnati’s second-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft, is in his sixth NFL season, all with the Bengals.

In March, Higgins agreed to a four-year contract extension with the team.

After the Bengals’ win in Dallas in 2024, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow said he was confident the team could get Higgins to return to Cincinnati despite becoming a free agent at the end of the season.
