AND THERE IS QUITE A BIT OF DAMAGE. AND SO LET’S GO OUT TO SHANE HELTON HERE. SHANE, WE’RE LOOKING AT YOUR PICTURE RIGHT NOW. WE CAN SEE THAT THERE’S TREE DEBRIS, TREE DEBRIS ALL OVER THE PLACE. KIND OF WALK US THROUGH WHAT’S HAPPENING RIGHT NOW IN PALM CREEK. WELL, DAMON, IT’S PALM CREEK. GOT QUITE A BIT OF TREE DAMAGE. THEY GOT THE HIGH WINDS. NOW, FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE JUST WAKING UP, WE HAD SOME REALLY BAD STORMS GO THROUGH NORTHERN OKLAHOMA HERE THIS MORNING. WE HAD TORNADO WARNINGS AND HIGH WIND WARNINGS. IT WAS JUST ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE. WINDS FROM 50 MILE AN HOUR ALL THE WAY UP ABOVE 80 MILE AN HOUR. IN FACT, I LOOKED AT A WEATHER STATION AT A PERSONAL RESIDENCE, AND THAT WEATHER STATION WAS SHOWING AN 81 MILE AN HOUR WIND GUST. RIGHT HERE WE HAVE A TREE BRANCH THAT CAME OFF AND IT ACTUALLY LANDED ON A CARPORT. BUT THEY PROBABLY GOT SOME DAMAGE TO THEIR VEHICLES. ALSO. SO WE’RE IN PALM CREEK, AND EVEN THOUGH THERE’S SO MUCH TREE DAMAGE, THE WHOLE ENTIRE TOWN IS OUT OF ELECTRICITY. AND ONE REASON WHY THEY’RE OUT OF ELECTRICITY IS BECAUSE THE TREES HAVE COME IN AND LANDED ON TOP OF THE POWER LINE. SO HERE IS RIGHT HERE IS ONE THAT I’M GOING TO PULL UP TO. I DON’T KNOW HOW WELL YOU’LL BE ABLE TO SEE THAT, BUT THE POWER LINES GO AHEAD AND LET’S ZOOM OUT ON THAT. THERE’S A POWER LINE RIGHT THERE IN THE SHOT, BUT THE POWER LINES HAVE COME DOWN BECAUSE OF THE TREES. AND I WAS TALKING TO THE FIRE CHIEF, AND HE WAS TELLING ME THAT THERE’S SEVERAL LINES THAT COME INTO TOWN. IT’S NOT JUST ONE MAJOR BIG LINE, BUT A LOT OF THESE LINES COME INTO TOWN AND THEY’VE GOT KNOCKED DOWN SOMEWHERE. SO IT KNOCKED THE WHOLE TOWN OUT OF ELECTRICITY. NOW IT’S MY UNDERSTANDING THERE ARE OTHER TOWNS ALSO THAT HAD HIT, GOT HIT PRETTY HARD. MAYBE BURLINGTON GOT HIT REAL HARD. SO WE’RE ALSO GOING TO RUN UP THERE AND CHECK THEM OUT. BUT FOR THE MOST PART, WE’RE NOT HEARING OF ANY, ANY, ANY INJURIES. BUT WE DO KNOW THAT THERE’S A LOT OF TREE DAMAGE HERE, AND THEY’RE GOI
